A medium to full bodied wine with freshness and brightness, lots of dried cherry, redcurrant, mild spice and fresh acidity. There is a fun hint of dried mint and pressed violets on the finish.

La Quinta comes from the 5th planted Sangiovese vineyard that Podere Giodo has flattened hence the name - in Italian "La Quinta" meaning the fifth. The vineyard has an area of only 3.5 ha at an altitude of 300 meters, located on the southeast. The soil is mainly poor clay with pebbles.
