GRAPES: Xinomavro, Krassato and Stavroto
TASTING NOTES: Aromas of cherry, clove, forest floor with floral notes and hints of strawberry jam and tomato chutney. On the palate it's fresh, with nice tannins, hints of fruit. This is an elegant and complex wine not too dissimilar to a Burgundy or fuller-bodied Pinot Noir.
PAIRS WITH: Sausages, duck, mature hard cheese

The Terra Petra of the Thymiopoulos estate is a cuvée of 70% Xinomavro, 30% Stavroto, and Krassato, coming from the Rapsani appellation, about fifty kilometers south of Naoussa, at the foot of Mount Olympus (at about 600 m altitude). Fermentation in stainless steel tanks and then in large oak barrels, where it remained for about 14 months.
