TASTING NOTES: Producing a Cabernet Sauvignon was never part of the plan for Mick and Jeanine, but when a small parcel of grapes became available on the Karibib farm, with a relatively low sugar level, they could not resist. Made with 100% Whole Bunch, pressed off a little early so as not to leave too much tannin. Fresh earthy and excellently balanced, there is all of the depth and flavour of Cabernet Sauvignon here with great acidity and just enough oak.

PAIRS WITH: Good with beef, lamb or poultry

SERVE ME: Serve at room temperature. 

Mick and his wife Jeanine started Craven Wines in 2014, sourcing fruit from single vineyard sites in and around Stellenbosch and making “site-specific, honest wines”. Originally from Australia Mick met Jeanine whilst working in Sonoma, California, before both moving to South Africa in 2011.
