TRY ME IF YOU LOVE: Oaked Chardonnay

ABV: 12.5%

GRAPES: Viura, Garnacha Blanca

TASTING NOTES: The nose is richly aromatic, with notes of almond, tarragon and lemon. On the palate, it has notes of mandarin and baked pear, with an oily texture and a long, extending finish. White Rioja with more altitude.

PAIRS WITH: Pairs well with both meat and fish.

SERVE ME: Serve chilled.

Navarra is much less well known than neighbouring Rioja, but both are rich in the Grenache and Graciano grapes, and the wines can have similar characters. Brothers, Iñaki, Xabi and Mikel Sanz, started working with their father in 2007. They work with mainly higher altitude plots, carefully nurturing the older bush vines that grow there.
