SERVE ME: Light-Medium body so just below room temp ideally but you could serve slightly chilled if you fancy it. Pop it in the fridge for 30 mins if so.
I Vigneri is a Sicilian consortium located on Mount Etna. Founded in 1435 in Catania under the name "La Maestranza dei Vigneri", its main objective was to teach future generations how to raise vines and produce wine. Six centuries later, the consortium is led by the oenologist Salvo Foti, who felt that the ancient wine-making traditions were disappearing. He decided that to recover the old vines and produce a wine that reflected the Etna territory, it was only possible with winemakers who knew the area well and had the ancient viticultural knowledge. The consortium is made up of six producers who lovingly care for the old centenary vines, scattered from Etna to the Aeolian Islands and to Pantelleria, Pachino and Caltagirone.
