TRY ME IF YOU LOVE: Long lunches in the sun
ABV: 13.5%
GRAPES: 90% Tibouren, 10% Grenache
TASTING NOTES: Salmon-orange in colour. The nose starts with a wave of spice, before evolving into flavours of orange peel and fresh peach on the palate. There is a lovely texture and structure, with good acidity and a slight salinity, complementing the more savoury elements of the wine.
PAIRS WITH: Fish, Shellfish or white meat.
SERVE ME: Dont drink this too cold you will just be missing out
This 17th century estate is one of eighteen in Provence with Cru Classe status. They are proud custodians of the Tibouren grape, an ancient Mediterranean variety reputedly favoured by Julius Caesar, and transported over the Alps by Napoleon.
The vineyards of Clos Cibonne are organically farmed. Along with the famous Domaine Tempier, they are also among a rare group of Provence producers who are proud to cellar their rose wine and experiment with bottle age.
