Aromas of white flowers, crisp green apples, lemon pith and flint. Good follow-through on the palate, with good balance between tanginess and acidity.
NZ Sauvignon Blanc fans get on this now.
Ambra and Franco Tiraboschi farm 18 Hectares on the south end of lake garda and produce about 120K bottles per annum. Their philosophy is to use only the native Turbiana grape, which is closely akin to Verdicchio of the Marche. Ca’ Lojera comes from the local dialect for “house of the wolves”, a reference to the legend that Lake Garda’s pirates were protected by wolves and even made the ancient house their “lair”.
Serve chilled. Allow 2 to 3 hours to cool in the fridge. Try with fried anchovies, prawns or white fish.
