TASTING NOTES: Floral and tropical notes on the nose lead into a fresh, mineral palate with pleasant acidity and a long finish. Not quite off dry but does have a pleasant rounded, fruity, sweetness to it.

PAIRS WITH: Baked fish, poultry or pork.

SERVE ME: Chilled, pop in the fridge for a couple of hours

The “Il Poggiarello” winery produces wines in the village of Scrivellano, nestled in the hills of the Trebbia Valley. It's philosophy is one centred around four words: territory, uniqueness, simplicity and ambition. They aim to produce unique wines, which are an expression of the territory: sincere, genuine, capable of moving. And capable of telling the story of Piacenza outside of Piacenza....

Winemaker Paulo's watchwords are respect for nature and love for the vineyards. The vineyard has been certified organic since 2018. They us zero pesticides, only organic fertilisers, with the use of biodegradable materials, attention to microclimate, exposure and soil. Minimal intervention in the winery feeds into the idea that with grapes like this, wine is made first and foremost in the vineyard.
