Located in the heart of Santa Barbara County, Presqu’ile (pronounced press-KEEL) is a small, family-run winery dedicated to making exceptional cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. 50% comes from their own coastal sandy soils and 50% from the hallowed Bien Nacido vineyard just down the road. Their wines are picked at lower sugars and are aged in mostly old oak barrels to keep freshness, aromatics and maximum flavour whilst employing traditional, natural techniques to make the wine (wild yeast fermentation, native malolactic and lees ageing).
Interesting Fact: Over the past few years, Presqu’ile has been featured several times in the top 10 Best Tasting Rooms in the U.S. by USA Today’s National Readers Poll. Worth the visit!
