GRAPES: 100% Hondarrabi Zuri

TASTING NOTES: Pale yellow-green in colour. Fresh aromas of pear, green apples, and citrus fruit. Intensely fresh and dry on the palate with almost eye-watering acidity and saline minerality.

PAIRS WITH: Most things will go with this but salted anchovies, scallops, chorizo or grilled mackerel might work best.

SERVE ME: Drink this nice and cold, pop it in the fridge for a few hours. 

Txakoli is the native white wine of the Basque region of Spain and is in that lean, bone dry, spritzy style that is reminiscent of the more ubiquitous Portuguese Vinho Verde.
