GRAPES: Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Early Muscat

TASTING NOTES : A distinct savoury taste that's balanced by refreshing acidity, with flavours of apricot, peach, and herbs complemented by a mineral finish that makes it stand out from traditional rosés.

PAIRS WITH : Lamb kebabs, grilled octopus and surfing

SERVE ME : Chilled, pop in the fridge for a couple of hours

"Big salt “orange rose” is nearly an equal blend of ramato- style pinot gris (when pinot grigio grapes are crushed and the skins are allowed to spend time with the juice) and big salt, fermented and aged in neutral barrel. The combination of these production methods made a wine that doesn’t look or smell like a rose – it isn’t as funky or extracted as an orange wine – it lives somewhere in between…or beyond.

Ovum Wines is dedicated to producing Riesling & Gewurztraminer from single sites in Oregon and Washington. Through minimal processing, the wines are a clear representation of the vineyard and vintage.
