2023 POSTOPOMA ORANGE

ABV: 12.5%

GRAPES: Kerner, Riesling

TASTING NOTES: An aromatic orange wine made from a blend of Kerner and Riesling, with extended skin contact imparting flavours of baked apples, honey, and nectarine. Bright citrus and a mineral note give it a lively finish. Naturally fermented with wild yeasts and aged in old Slovenian barrels, it’s unfined, unfiltered, and bone-dry with a rich texture and saline edge. 

PAIRS WITH: Risotto, curries, quiche, seafood, poultry, duck

SERVE ME: Chilled, pop in the fridge for a couple of hours

Matija Žerjav, or Matic for friends, is a biodynamic winemaker known for his experimental approach. Tending his 9 hectares of vineyards with minimal intervention, he harvests according to the moon cycles to craft expressive, natural wines.
