GRAPES: 100% Black of Kalavryta

TASTING NOTES: Bright ruby colour with aromas of red and black fruit , herbs and subtle floral notes like violet. In the mouth it is soft, but with great freshness and very gentle tannins. Juicy with a velvety texture yet still very light overall.

PAIRS WITH: Fish, white meat, Mediterranean dishes with capers and sun-dried tomatoes.

SERVE ME: Just below room temperature

For about 15 years now, the Tetramythos Winery has been cultivating its vines in Diakopto of Aegialia, with the principles of organic farming. The vines are located at an altitude between 450 and 1000 meters, while the limestone soils give a very special character to their wines. Highlighting the unique microclimate of the area is the main goal, while the minimal, almost zero interventions during winemaking, enhance their uniqueness.

Mavro Kalavrytino is made from the rare Mavro Kalavrytino grape variety, grown exclusively in the Kalavryta region of the Peloponnese in Greece, known for its lively ruby red colour, aromas of summer fruits, and a soft, elegant texture.
