TRY ME IF YOU LOVE: Italian Amari
ABV: 30%
FROM: Milan, Italy
TASTING NOTES: Dark ruby brown. On the nose, earthy aromas, notes of bark and roots with unsweetened chocolate. The Palate is vibrant, moderately sweet, medium-to-full body and a warming mouthfeel. Finishes with peppery spice, hint of wormwood and incense, and exotic teas.
SERVE ME: Try with soda water and ice.
Created by Ettore Zucca in 1845, this famous rhubarb drink was born as a base prescription for indigestion. Made using authentic Chinese Rhubarb root - that only grows in the mountainous regions of the Kansu Province - and infused with "rare, natural, secret herbs". Although zucca is the Italian word for "squash" or "pumpkin", it actually takes its name after Zucca's bar (Caffè Zucca), located in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
